Gail Desler teaches 5th and 6th grade at Barbara Comstock Morse Elementary School in Elk Grove, California. Before coming to Morse, she taught history and language arts at a middle school near her home in the Sierra foothills. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Oregon and is currently completing a master's degree in educational technology from California State University at Sacramento (CSUS).
Gail is active in both the Area 3 History & Cultures Project at the University of California at Davis and the International Studies Project at CSUS. She is also a teacher consultant for the Area 3 Writing Project at UC Davis. She was a 1999 American Memory Fellow at the Library of Congress and has received several grants from the University of California Office of the President for the teaching of history and the integration of technology into the curriculum.
